TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND NO "THANKYOU"S!

They've finished repaving most of the main street (Iron and Steel Str.) here in Baotou. They've almost finished the whole street now, and more quickly than most people thought they would. And apart from the paving they've also installed cool new traffic lights which are LED lights and where the yellow light is they have a count-down to when the light changes (but on some of them it also turns yellow in between red and green, if i'm not mistaken.) I think they're especially cool since the count-down (in red and then in green) is where the yellow light is, in stead of seperatly from the traffic light itself.

Also, i've been taught an interesting thing by a new friend, her name is Summer. Which i kind of vaguely already knew but hadn't put into practice. And that is if you're friends with someone, especially good friends and family, then you shouldn't say, "thankyou" because they only say thankyou to strangers and aquaintances because giving help is expected and happily done and if you say thankyou it makes it sound to them like you're strangers instead of close friends/family. It's a bit difficult since i've been brought up to always say thankyou regardless whether to friend or foe! But now i need to remember not to say thankyou (to my close friends)! (...in word..., but it's always good to repay kindness with kindness (in deed)).
