2nd and last Ski-trip and short holiday before Enter the Uchideshi
So on April 13th i went on my 2nd Ski trip of the season and last time for God knows how long! A few years at least (Since i'll be in China)! This time it was just Javid Djallili and i. And we went to Keystone, this time, which was just as good, but the weather was much better this time! And better yet, it was very uncrowded because there had been a forcast for very bad weather which turned out to be totally wrong! VERY FUN!!! It was only about 4-5 hours of Skiing but i was definatley exhausted by the end of the day!
Yesterday was my last day of work at Dish Network--ever! (Although i left in good standing and am eligible for re-hire). However, i'm pretty sick and tired of working there and am glad to be gone! (However, it was still much better than a lot of other jobs would have been). I now have 9 days to get everything done i want and need to get done between now and when i move in to Nippon-Kan dojo! At first i'll be the only Uchideshi there but some time mid- or towards the end of May John-San will be returning from his Aikido teaching trip to Nepal. Then Kolya-San will have someone to share his duties with! Yay!
Today is the first day of Ridvan, a Baha'i 12 day sacred festival, which celebrates Baha'u'llah's official declaration of His station, although some had privatley already recognized His divine qualities before that day. Baha'i days start at Sunset (last night); Ridvan is also the day Baha'i local administrative bodies are elected (without any campaigning or electioneering) and the Englewood Local Spiritual Assembly was able to reform! (Last year there were too few Baha'is in Englewood, but this year there are 10 (nine after i move out-- nine being the minimum).
I'll be part of the Denver community once i move into the Dojo.
